This week on The Purse Blog, we will be playing “Name That Bag!” Each day pictures of lovely people carrying lovely bags will be posted and you, the readers, need to name that bag as quick as you can! The reader with the most bags named by the end of the week will be featured on our blog and be offered a guest writer position next week.

Note: Some bags will be easy to tell what they are, and others may be quite hard (so hard that I may not even be sure and I will need you to prove to me why you are right!) Make sure to be as specific as possible when naming the bag – I need the designer and style of each bag for your answer to count.

* Because I know many of you have different schedules, different time zones, etc- I will keep tabs at the beginning of the morning my time (which is in Germany right now) the day after the post is made. So answers for today’s pictures will be accumulated tomorrow.

She’s pregggggggggers aight! And yes Brit, those tits of yours do swell and inflate during pregnancy…

Roughly two weeks ago, two very special piglets struck the eyesight of folks in Beijing. The two happy pigs had been ‘enhanced’ by Belgian artist Wim Delvoye, whose staff of local farmers and tat artists tried to raise sows to use them as canvases for skin art. Without a doubt you noticed that it was no less than Louis Vuitton’s traditional monogram print that had been inked onto the pigs’ backs. Hilarious!

Unfortunately, the whole deal has a few disadvantages. The pigs’ pork chops quadrupled in price, they are no longer allowed to wallow in filthy mud, and Takashi Murakami already voiced his plans to present a whole fleet of Monogram Piglet canvas bags, starting next spring. The pandas just didn’t cut it anymore, hail the pig!

Ok, I just totally pulled those last few lines of LV info out of my derrière. No worries, no pig canvases coming any time soon. Nonetheless, I can’t help but see a striking resemblance between the LV pigs and Lil’ Kim, as photographed in ‘99 by David Lachapelle. Keepin’ it Oink!

I spy with my little blue eye… Hillary Duff hiding from the outside world with her Fendi Spy Bag on one shoulder and a mess of an outfit going on. Leggin’s and cowboy boots put together with her ripped jean skirt and tank. All I can say is she is probably the only person that can look half way decent dressed like that. If I were to try that, I’d look like a circus creature that came out to play.

All the young celebs are growing up and growing stylish. I wish I was a celeb so this could happen to me too. Let’s blame my struggle on lack of money, which probably is the biggest reason I don’t look put together like all of Hollywood when I wake up. I must say, Ashlee has come a long way. I never could feel bad for her though when she sang about “living in the shadow of someone else’s dream” because I don’t feel bad for a girl who has her own show on MTV. Nope, not at all. I must say her grunge stage of life seems to be dissipating. Lately she has been spotted carrying this Devi Kroell Large Classic Python Leather Shoulder Bag. I love it. She even looks more than decently trendy carrying around the exotic bag. Either Devi Kroell gave her the bag for free or she shelled out a serious $2690 for that beauty. Either way I’m really proud of the angry teen growing up to look like a lady! (I dig the return to blond too)

What is up with Jessica Simpson being the handbag guru of all time? Seriously if I owned about 1/546 of what she owns, my life would feel complete. She seems to be a major handbag and purse trend setter. Right when some fashionista realizes that studs are in, they also realize Jessica already is sporting them. To be a minister’s daughter must be nice. So I must say that for the most part (not all the time at all, trust me I’ve seen pics), Jessica is completely style savvy. I just want to rock out looks like she does, like this Lanvin Jet Set Bag. This trendy little number is a duffle style bag with all over nickel studs. This is the “it” bag of the moment and has also been seen on other A-list celebs like Lindsay Lohan. A little side note, but does anyone else realize that LiLo is always sporting the same bag as Jessica. My question is who gets it first? My guess would be Jessica is the trend setter and Lindsay is the follower. Any takers? Anyhow, Jessica was able to put the stud in this Lanvin bag, and you can too for $1600 @ Barneys.

Ok I know Jack Osbourne is not carrying a bag, but that’s ok, because this is note worthy. And since this is Celebrities Week, why not? Remember trashy-slobby out of shape Jack? Say bu-bye to that. Jack has bouts with his drug addiction in 2004 and after rehab must have had some sort of revelation- because he has gone from flab to fab. His mum told a magazine that his Thai boxing training has helped him shed more than 40 pounds. Being 5-ft 9-in Jack once weighed about 215 pounds and has now slimmed to 175 says his mom. Actually since then- he has lost even more weight while he climbs 10,000 feet mountains and is practicing his Thai boxing on experienced fighters in Asia. Un-freggin- believable. Jack Osbourne used to be one of those celebs that I saw and told myself, “Well, even if you eat that entire gallon of ice cream you will still look better than him at least”. Now I can’t even say that anymore, because Mr. Osbourne is putting me to shame. I feel like I should go do an ab or something. Maybe I will just move from my desk to my bed and reach for the remote and press the ‘ON’ button.

But seriously, way to go Jack. Thanks to yet one more person putting me to shame.

Why it sucks to be an A-list celeb – Reason #267

You can’t pick, pinch, squeeze, smile, or laugh any way other than perfectly because the paparazzi will get it on cam and will make you look dumb. Unfortunately little Miss Nicky Hilton was digging for gold with her Balenciaga bag in the other arm when the paparazzi caught her. Let’s have a little sympathy here people, she obviously was at the drug store picking up an Rx (look under her nose picking arm). Either way Miss Nicky owns an exorbitant amount of Balenciaga bags and they are gorgeous aren’t they!

On with our Celebs week! I have decided to feature an athletic woman. And who better to do so with than the ever beautiful Anna Kournikova. Tell all your boys out there peering over your shoulder to quit drooling: she is not a model, she’s a tennis player (although I swear men forget that). I must admit that I really do think she is beautiful and she wears this Louis Vuitton Multicolor Speedy 30 like it is her job. If I were the bag I would not want to leave her perfectly toned and tan arm either, or the arm of her boy toy Enrique for that matter
