Today has started out as an early one. Have you ever woken up waaaay early and found that you couldn’t fall back asleep? Well, that was me this morning. I woke up, rolled over, gasped at the time, tried to fall back asleep and couldn’t. As I laid in bed, I did a little day (or perhaps you could say early morning) dreaming. For whatever reason, I pictured myself in a convertible driving along the coast. Top down, wind in my hair, awesome sunglasses, blaring the songs of one of my favorite bands – Postal Service, and of course an amazing bag next to me holding everything I might need for my coastal drive. So clearly, my next thought was, what bag would I carry along with me?

Without much thought, the perfect bag came to mind, the Dylan Folding Tote. This is the same bag Hilary Duff has been sporting all over the place lately, and I can see why. The bag is gorgeous. Based on the activity on the Forum, it seems like our readers are very, very interested in trying to identify what celebrities are wearing, both in real life and in movies. In general, there’s more interest in female celebs, but when we got these great pictures of Clive Owen in the new movie Duplicity, I thought that this was something you ladies would like to see. Or at least something I wanted to spend some time looking at and thinking about. Ahem.

I knew this bag was going to be a big hit. Totally knew it from the moment I saw it. And all of you seemed to agree, that you positively loved the new metallic slouchy bag from DvF. While I covered the medium DvF Stephanie Bag previously, the version Beyonce was spotted carrying is the large gold metallic DvF Stephanie Bag. And the Purse Blog team made sure to go out and buy the bag before it sold out completely! What I absolutely adore about this bag is that it truly is different from any other bag in my closet. It is totally oversized, really huge actually, and slouchy, and can hang low on your body (though you can adjust the shoulder straps to wear it different ways). Really, what is not to love about this bag? Spacious, comfortable, relevant, and a little metallic gleam. I know we love it, and while we wait for Vlad to shoot it we are graciously contemplating who will wear it first. I got first dibs! Yes, I’ve said it before, I love celebrity gossip. It really is a guilty pleasure of mine. I don’t know why, but as soon as I open a celeb infused magazine or type in a celeb heavy site, I am fixated. It’s not that I am trying to emulate one celebrity or another, but I love to see where they go, what they wear and who they are hanging out with. I can’t help it. And to be honest, I know many of you sitting there reading this feel the same way. Whether you openly admit it or feel some sort of shame admitting it, so many of us love celeb gossip! Today I came across some very interesting images of Sienna Miller. Many view her as a fashion icon or at least someone who keeps up, if not sets, trends. She could be in rainy London, sunny LA, or fast-paced NYC and she is always photographed and her clothes almost always commented on. Today is nothing different. A red cape? Really, Sienna? I realize she is in London, and it is probably frigid, but the Little-Red-Riding-Hood-look makes me go “hmmmm”. I can’t decide if it is fashionable or a fashion faux-pas.

I think I’ve now just about seen it all. Heidi Montag was recently photographed with a new huge Chanel shopping bag, which really comes as no surprise or shock. What did and continues to shock me – her fresh Chanel manicure. Why? Why? Why? Sure, I took a few marketing classes during my college years, and I totally get brand marketing and brand loyalty, but don’t you think this takes it just a step too far? If you are anything like me, one of your guilty pleasures might be following celeb gossip and the reality shows some of them may appeared on. And most of us, whether we admit it or not, have seen The Hills and are of course familiar with Heidi and Spencer.

Just after their alleged marriage, Heidi and Spencer are continuously photographed in a way that makes any reader think they are looking to make a buck. Hey, if you are able to put up with the paparazzi mob following you around and snapping flattering/not so flattering/embarrassing pictures of you with every move you make, well, then, more power to you. However, I am starting to wonder if this is going a tad too far. Heidi, we know you have loads of money to spend. But a Chanel manicure, is that really necessary? Although I imagine the folks over at Chanel shaking their heads in disbelief, I have a question. Do you think this kind of situation helps or hurts the oh so classic and lusted after brand? Discuss!

It seems Jessica Simpson was not a lucky charm for Tony Romo’s football season. We follow college football much more than pro football, but at the end of the season Tony Romo looked awful. Jessica Simpson found herself in love with a Cowboy and transitioning to the country music scene. Long gone are her days of all dolled up mini skirts and pop music and in are her days of country music and flannel shirts. Just the girl next door in jeans and an oversized green wrap, Jessica Simpson was spotted at Dallas/Fort Worth airport with her Gucci Hysteria Python Tote and Louis Vuitton Dog Carrier. I have a little secret that I most likely share with many of you… I am a reality TV lover. I don’t need the lectures because I agree. Many of the shows are scripted, watching the shows actually kill brain cells, the ‘drama’ is ridiculous, but I tune in every week to catch up. I speak about The Hills ’stars’ as if they are my friends. Like, they totally know me and I totally know them. And much to my drama loving dismay, I spotted something rotten in the state of LA and the hierarchy of dating. The lovely Amanda Bynes spent her night out on the town toting her Balenciaga City bag and a new fling.

Honestly, I am nothing but grateful that paparazzi do not follow me around and photograph me. Because I guarantee you that I look nothing like Victoria Beckham arriving at any airport, ever. I won’t lie, my attempt to travel in style across the ocean usually involves stretched-out-size-too-big-jeans, a nice sweater, and sneakers. And even if Victoria Beckham changes while on board into something more comfy, I still feel badly for her.

Here Victoria Beckham was spotted arriving in London at Heathrow airport over the weekend sporting her beautiful Hermes Tricolor Kelly. Victoria Beckham is a huge fan of the Hermes Kelly style, as we have seen her carrying many of the versions, including: Hermes Kelly Longue, Hermes Kelly Pochette, Hermes Kelly Lizard Pochette, Black Kelly, and a white Hermes Kelly with orange piping. And while many are not huge fans of VB, I really love her coat with this tricolor Kelly and her Louboutins.

The fashion world was buzzing over news that Rihanna would be teaming up with Gucci. Rihanna is known for her funky style, young appeal, never ending legs, and brilliant voice. Gucci creative director Frida Giannini has said, “I wanted Rihanna on board with this project because she’s so young, so modern, and so iconic.”

Rihanna adds, “I have always been a fan of the Gucci brand and the products, especially their handbags. But most of all, I’m very very intrigued by what they’re doing with UNICEF. As an artist, I feel like it’s our duty to make it a better place if we can. I’m blown away by what UNICEF has been able to accomplish in Africa with the money that Gucci has donated to them. I’m very fortunate to be part of this wonderful collaboration.”

25% of all handbag proceeds from the “Tattoo Heart Collection” will benefit UNICEF.
