On Tuesday night, I plopped down on my couch and put on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, like many of you probably did as well. First off, can I ask why we all subject ourselves to this amazing misery? While their bodies are still out of this world beautiful, the Angels are curvier compared to runway models (though a slim Karlie Kloss made her debut this year). So, there I was on my couch in my unflattering PJ’s next to my husband watching nearly nude models on TV for one hour. I did this while eating a bag of M&M’s. Clearly, I felt awesome afterwards.

One of my favorite Victoria Secret Angels is the adorable and sexy Miranda Kerr. Her body looks so entirely perfect after having a baby that I nearly wanted to throw M&M’s at my TV, but I decided against it because that would mean I’d waste my precious chocolate.

The point of all of this is that Miranda Kerr looks just as beautiful fully clothed as she does in underwear, and she proves it by looking ravishing in a Dolce & Gabbana leopard dress which she accessorized with a Stella McCartney Clutch at the viewing party. Joining other perfect Angels, my attention immediately went to the doe-eyed Kerr. The body-con dress hugged her the way a dress is meant to and Kerr carried the Winter 2011 Stella McCartney Black and Gold Studded Plexi Clutch.

The clutch is a different look for the brand but adds interesting dimensionality. Being carried by a woman like Miranda Kerr does this clutch so much justice. Buy Stella McCartney bags via Net-A-Porter.

Oh, to be Lady Gaga. The world adores you, designers pine to make ornate crazy couture items for you, and you have by far the coolest and most moving commercial (Google Chrome) on TV this year.

But the main reason I am envying Lady Gaga right now is because Karl Lagerfeld designed a one-of-a-kind Chanel bag to be paired with her Chanel Haute Couture white tweed dress with black trim. Accessorizing her dress are Chanel pearls, camelias and bows while her white bag features one black and one white flower applique. If you wonder why Lady Gaga had this amazing Chanel moment, it is because of the launch of Gaga’s Workshop for Barneys NY.

I may have placed myself on a not-so-stringent shopping ban, but upon seeing this Chanel bag Karl made for Gaga, I started to go gaga. This bag is the perfect pairing of demure and edgy adding the classic quilted background with a contrasting black and white add-ons. And if you can’t peel your eyes off her dress, that is also because Karl designed this especially for the queen of pop as well. So again, to be Lady Gaga would be quite the nice touch – especially if you are a Chanel fan.

At the risk of adding to the furious, endless, 24-hour Kardashian news cycle, the sisters have a new handbag line. A new handbag line in…Australia? Theirs is a global empire of PVC knockoffs, after all. Anyway, we caught them hawking a nearly detail-for-detail copy of the Botkier Clyde Bag via their Sears-based Kardashian Kollection a couple of months ago, and now it seems that the sisters (or whoever designs their cheap crap) are taking their “inspired” handbags to the land down under. Fashionista.com matched up the stock images of the new Kardashibags to their designer equivalents, and although some of them are a bit of a stretch, a couple are clear derivations. Does this tactic bother you? Personally, I was more irritated when they did it to Botkier, which is a smaller independent brand.

We try and make it a point to do Man Bag Monday for one reason and one reason only – bags made for men can be every bit as stylish and beautiful as those made for women, and a lot of them are so nice that I wouldn’t think twice about carrying one. Androgyny is in! Just as Andrej Pejic.

And that’s what kept me so transfixed by these pictures that Vlad took of Brad Goreski outside of the Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 show in New York a few weeks ago. His Louis Vuitton Keepall 45 Bandouliere could be carried by literally anyone and look chic.

For some reason, this bag has been playing tricks on me. Initially, I assumed it was one of Louis Vuitton’s men’s travel bags. But then, the size of the bag started making me second-guess myself, and I thought perhaps it was the biggest version of Sofia Coppola’s hugely successful leather bags for Vuitton. But the women’s bags come with a clochette instead of a luggage tag, which this satchel very clearly has, so perhaps the 45s just aren’t as big in real life as they are in my mind. For those hell-bent on traditional masculinity, this design is probably best left for use as an overnight bag or carry-on, but I think it works equally well as a bag to carry to the office. If the lady of the house doesn’t steal it first, that is. Buy through Louis Vuitton. I can’t tell which leather Brad’s bag is, but the Epi version sells for $1890.

As many of you know, we also write a delightful little celebrity style blog called Bag That Style, where we attempt to identify the accessories (and anything else) worn by celebrities in their day-to-day lives. It’s not all that often that a handbag stumps me, considering that I spend most of my workday over here with you guys, but it does happen occasionally.

Today, it’s Amanda Seyfried who has a bag that I can’t identify. We’ve also asked for help from PurseBlog’s 35,000 Twitter followers, and they didn’t know either. That might be because the bag is vintage – it certainly looks worn in this shot, but who knows anymore – or because it’s brand new and not many people have seen it yet. Take a look at the close-up after the jump and let us know if you have a guess.

There was a time when huge celebrities who largely avoided domestic advertising in order to maintain their pristine images for fans did ad campaigns overseas for big bucks and Americans were none the wiser. That time was before the Internet, and it has very clearly passed. Via Vogue Taiwan, we now have a peek at Gwyneth Paltrow‘s first ads as the international brand ambassador for Coach.

And although these ads were clearly shot in New York and feature a brand that does the overwhelming majority of its business stateside, these shots won’t be gracing the ad pages of American magazines anytime soon, which sort of makes sense from a branding perspective. American consumers already have a vision of Coach and a vision of Gwyneth Paltrow, and those two vision don’t necessarily intersect. And that’s fine, because Coach is already raking in bushels of money on its current, carefully crafted American branding.

But for an overseas audience that’s less familiar with the position that Coach has in the American fashion landscape, the fresh-faced, blonde, blue-eyed actress against a blurry, fast-paced Manhattan backdrop likely reflects exactly the combination of urbanity and Americanness that Coach would like its foreign customers to see when they look at one of the brand’s handbags. She certainly does look happy with her patent leather satchel.

Technically, Simpson’s fiance Eric Johnson is the person who made the upgrade for her, as a gift for her 31st birthday on Sunday night. Although, as gossip sites love to point out, Eric probably bought it with Jessica’s money. But that’s fine, because she’s so stinking rich that it hardly matters where the five-figure layout for this kind of present came from. So congratulations and happy birthday to Jessica – I wonder if this is her first Birkin? If so, what made her wait so long?

These days, the best way for a piece of clothing to become scarce is for Kate Middleton (although that’s probably not her last name anymore, right?) to wear it publically. The Internet has been reveling in a deluge of the Duchess’s outfits while she’s touring Canada with Prince William, and as always, she’s been careful to choose pieces that both recognize her British roots and acknowledge the theme of whatever event she’s attending at the moment. Naturally, what we’re interested in are her accessories, and all of Kate’s notable bags thus far have been British: the Mulberry Polly Push Lock Satchel and the Anya Hindmarch Fan Straw Clutch.

As a proof of concept, it’s already become difficult to locate either of these bags, although Net-a-Porter had this Mulberry model in stock just days ago. Mulberry still has availability of the bag via its website for $1300, but I imagine that will be short-lived. If you’d prefer the Anya Hindmarch clutch, we’re sad to report that £350 clutch is now sold out on the designer’s website.

It’s rare that I see Kim Kardashian, she of the six-figure Hermes shopping sprees and head-to-toe designer looks, carrying a bag or wearing a pair of shoes that I can’t identify immediately. Love her or hate her, Kim’s look is one that requires the latest and greatest of everything, and because she’s photographed so incessantly, it seems as though designers are more than happy to stock her closet with flashy, expensive things that they hope to see talked about as a result of her patronage.

I’m not sure if that’s how Kim ended up carrying the $78 faux leather Olivia + Joy Tycoon Flap Bag or if she saw it in a store and bought it herself like a normal person, but if I were a betting woman, I’d bet it’s the former. Either way, it’s kind of baffling to see a star who’s known for her excessive wardrobe carrying something so inexpensive and accessible. Do you like it when stars mix up their price points, or would you prefer if they stuck to fantasy items so that we can all lust after their collections? After Rachel Zoe confirmed her pregnancy, the fashion world began to buzz about her stylish baby on board. While many speculated if she would have a boy or girl and what her baby would be spotted wearing, I was busy wondering what diaper bag Rachel Zoe planned to carry.

Luckily, Rachel Zoe shared with us that she is going bananas for her Alexander McQueen diaper bag.

Looks like RZ was given a customized rendition of the Alexander McQueen Black Folk Tote. The version on the McQueen website does not feature the whipstitching details like Rachel’s bag does. On top of that, the stylist has a custom RZ tag hanging from her new baby bag. It looks like Rachel is really excited about this bag, squealing: “OMG!!! McQueen diaper bag?????
