The bag is relatively simple, an oversized tote with a woven body and double handles. But the love for this handbag runs deep. No one can seem to get enough. There are limited edition Cabats, like the Reflet Cabat we covered, along with classic Cabats that are released in seasonal colors.

The Cabat takes two people two full days to weave the leather by hand. The inside shows no lining, as the very crux of the bag is the beauty of the woven leather inside and out. Then there is another day devoted to stitching, applying handles, and finishing every edge by hand.

Every single aspect of this look I adore. I have to admit, Olivia Palermo is one of my new favorite people. Whether she has a stylist or not, nearly every time I see her she has her outfits perfectly put together. Her evening wear is typically elegant and spot on and her day time wear is uptown chic. Take this outfit for example. Olivia takes casual chic to a whole new level, pairing her J Brand Skinny jeans with a jacket that I must have (anyone know who makes it??) and her signature amazing wavy hair. The handbag is the perfect finisher. We need to know who makes this bag.

But I kind of love her for dressing like this, truth be told. This is how every girl that ever bought a Joy Division album desperately wanted to dress in high school (including yours truly…), and almost none of us ever got the opportunity. I didn’t because I was on debate team and bleach-blond extensions and a whole pencil worth of eyeliner probably would have made me look unprofessional at tournaments. That, and I don’t think my mom would have bought me leather short shorts. But a girl can dream, I suppose.

But obviously, we’re here to talk about Taylor’s bag, the Versace Metal Frame Satchel. We’ve spoken about this bag before, but it’s hard to get a sense of something when you can’t see it carried. Two things struck me this bag after I saw the pictures – it’s a lot smaller than I expected it to be (it’s not nearly the size of a Stam, to which I originally compared the structure) and I like it just as much as I did previously.

It’s legitimately a nice-looking bag, which is not always Versace’s strong suit, and for that I’m excited. The price, however, is still thoroughly unexciting. Buy through Nordstrom for $3995.

Blake Lively could carry a potato sack and make it look amazing. Obviously, we prefer that she carry a swoon-worthy handbag, which we see her doing time and time again. Late in the summer, Blake was stopping traffic while toting the Donna Karan Eldridge. We covered the this Donna Karan bag with an overall positive feeling. But I yearned to see it in person or on someone.

Blake Lively fulfilled my wishes. She wore the Donna Karan Eldridge so beautifully that my heart fluttered. The pleating of the leather and slouchy body of the bag is very Boho-Luxe. The chain and charm embellishment adds another nice touch. What I adore the most is how the bag slouches and sits ever so beautifully. There are side snaps to convert the from shoulder bag to a satchel. Genius. Buy through Saks for $1495.

We have a sneak peak at one of the handbags you will see on the premiere tonight! A new character to the Gossip Girl set, Joanna Garcia is rumored to be the love interest of Nate Archibald. Tonight with the introduction to Joanna Garcia, whose name is Bree on the show, we see her carrying the Be & D Cosette Satchel in Navy.

Recently we had the chance to review the Be&D Garbo line, which is full of studs. The Cosette Satchel combines a feminine touch with edgy details for Be&D. The top handle appears ruffled which the optional chain shoulder strap brings the va-voom we expect from Be&D. This is one of many Be&D bags we will be seeing on Gossip Girl. It took a few listens before I got all the words, and when I did, I realized that Hova dropped a really odd name in one of the lyrics – Maison Martin Margiela. I don’t know how many of the average pop-rap fans will even understand who that is, or realize that it’s anyone at all, but I found it oddly impressive. MMG is hardly a household name and is not even particularly famous to those that are casually fashion-conscious, so the fact that someone conventionally famous is not only aware that his line exists but also familiar enough with it to include it in braggadocious song lyrics has had me thinking about it for a couple days. And as such, let’s talk about the Maison Martin Margiela Ruched Leather Clutch.

If you’re at all familiar with hip-hop fashion, the restraint that’s used in this clutch and Margiela’s line in general is probably surprising when you consider that it’s been added to the zeitgeist of hip-hop culture. But it’s not surprising that Jay-Z was the one to do it – he long ago transitioned from being a kid from Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects to a businessman with considerable industry clout that also happens to rap on the side, when he gets bored. So the restrained, clean lines of this clutch and Margiela’s vision fit in better with his reputation than any other rapper that I can imagine, perhaps besides fashion-addict Kanye West. Although I’m not sure that Kanye’s taste level, as they would say on Project Runway, is quite developed enough to be treading in this territory. Buy through Saks for $845.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt tend to drive most of us crazy. There are the fans, but many people love to hate this duo. Who is laughing all the way to the bank? Speidi. And after they put their money in the bank, Heidi Montag purchases the most absurd amount of designer handbags. Her bags are expensive, trendy, exotic, and the collection does not stop growing. Promoting themselves, Heidi’s Playboy cover, and whatever else, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were spotted at LAX today.

No matter how amazing her collection of handbags appears, Heidi has the capability of making amazing bags look ridiculous. Take her oversized Hermes Birkin Haut à Courroies (HAC) that she was spotted carrying today for example. I have always yearned for a Hermes travel Birkin, but after I see it on Heidi I cringe a bit.

Hermes, a brand known for understated elegance, must be nauseous after seeing these photos. Certainly, Spencer holding up the Playboy magazine with Heidi on the cover, as they pose to kiss does not help the overall look. Many others sport large Hermes travel bags, like Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham, they just wear it with much more class. I will continue to love this bag, but wish someone would nab it from Heidi and wear it with some grace.

Lady Gaga is not only heating up the music scene but is infiltrating the fashion world as well. You can bet that anytime you see Lady Gaga her ensemble will be entirely unique and outlandish. There are many reasons that I am thrilled to be writing this post. First off, I absolutely adore this Kooba bag, as many of the newer Kooba bags are amazing. Second of all, Lindsay Price is one of my favorite actresses. From her stint on Lipstick Jungle, a show that is no longer running but I loved, I fell in love with Lindsay Price. She is beautiful in a cute way, you know what I mean? And now she is dating Josh Radnor, one of the stars of How I Met Your Mother, one of the best shows that has ever aired on TV. Vlad and I are obsessed. That show is beyond words of amazement. Really, you should pick it up. Lindsay guest starred on one episode as Ted’s (Josh Radnor’s) girlfriend. She was perfectly annoying on the show but it seems the duo hit it off.

So let me bring this all back together. I love Kooba and I love Lindsay Price. When paired together, it is the perfect combination. Lindsay Price continues to be spotted around NYC with her Kooba Dale bag in both python and black leather. The shape of this bag is very similar to the Kooba Blake, which has been a huge success for the brand. The Dale implements cool buckled straps on the hobo shape which is available in leather or a python stamped leather. Lindsay Price loves both as do we.
