Some events – movie premieres, award shows and the like – bring out a predictable roster of celebs for those of us who enjoy the act of gawking at the famous and, perhaps most importantly, observing their sartorial choices. When it comes to shindigs like Wimbledon, though, things are a little more unpredictable – not only is the event in London, but who knows which famous people are tennis fans? This year’s tournament was graced with such celeb faces as Gerard Butler and Bradley Cooper, but we looked a little more closely at the images of celeb arrivals and departures from the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club to see which handbags made the trip to the historic tournament.
Not being of British extraction ourselves, we had to Google to find out who singer Louise Redknapp is, but we certainly didn’t have to do any searching to identify her handbag: It’s a Chanel Boy Bag, of course, from the 2013 Metiers d’Art collection.

Tennis player Maria Sharapova also carried Celine – she chose a nondescript bicolor Celine Shoulder Bag, carried as a clutch.
Despite being decidedly British, royal in-law Pippa Middleton chose the American Coach Legacy Mini Tanner Bag. Buy through Coach for $258.
Perhaps the biggest breakout star of the tournament was Kim Sears, girlfriend of 2013 champion Andy Murray. For the occasion, she carried a Mulberry Willow Tote in creamy beige. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $2,600.
