The Best Celebrity Bag Looks from Paris Haute Couture Week Spring 2017

Paris Haute Couture Week Spring 2017 is winding down, and that means two things: Fall 2017 shows are just around the bend, and a lot of notable people carried notable handbags in Paris over the past few days. We’re interested in both of those implications, of course, but the second one calls for immediate attention.

As we do with every major global fashion week, we sifted through all the pictures from celebrity arrivals at Paris Couture Week, identified as many handbags as we could and have assembled them for your viewing pleasure, below.

Alexandra Golovanoff
Givenchy Nano Horizon Tote
$1,390 via Neiman Marcus

If you follow fashion, Alexandra is one of those people who might look super familiar without you ever having known exactly who she is. Well: she’s a longtime host on France’s fashion channel.

She was at a ton of couture shows this week.

Alma Jodorowsky
Chanel Flap Shoulder Bag
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

In case you were worried, Karl Lagerfeld is still out here filling guest lists with as many French actresses, ingenues and It Girls as possible.

Anamaria Vartolomei
Chanel Pearl Strap Clutch
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

Karl is always looking out for the next generation, too–Anamaria is only 17.

Anna Mouglalis
Chanel 2.55 Flap Bag
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

You guessed it, French actress. (This one with enviable hair.)

Bella Hadid
Dior Club Bag
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

Bella is arguably the world’s biggest model at the moment, so she was all over Couture Week.

Bella Hadid
Dior Club Bag
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

Much to Dior’s likely delight, she was all over it while carrying this bag exclusively.

Bianca Jagger
Dior Lady Dior Mini Bag

And now, for an It Girl legend (and beyond):

Caroline de Maigret
Chanel Shoulder Bag
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

Catherine Deneuve

We don’t know what Ms. Deneuve is carrying, but it’d be a shame not to include her.

Cecile Cassel
Chanel Mini Classic Flap Bag
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

This bag, on the other hand, is not so difficult to identify.

Chanel Patchwork Flap Bag
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

Our photo service didn’t have a name for this young lady, but that seems like no reason to exclude her and her good bag.

Chiara Ferragni
Chanel Boy Bag
Shop Chanel Boy Bags via Vestiaire Collective

Chiara really has this fashion week street style posing thing down.

Chiara Ferragni
Dior Clutch

Okay, maybe a little awkward on this one.

Diane Rouzel
Chanel Boy Bag
Shop Chanel Boy Bags via Vestiaire Collective

You guessed it: an up-and-coming French actress in attendance at Chanel!

Dior Shoulder Bag
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

Our photo service also didn’t know who this was, but the hardware on her bag makes that part of the photo easy to identify, anyway.

Elena Perminova
Dior Satchel
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

Yes, that’s a Dior fencing suit.

Eva Herzigova
Dior J’Adior Shoulder Bag
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

Maria Grazia Chiuri outfitted a small army of celebs and fashion stars with her first bags for Dior at the brand’s couture show.

Ines de la Fressange
Roger Vivier Pilgrim de Jour Crossbody Bag
$1,675 via mytheresa.com

Karl can invite Ines to all the Chanel shows she wants, but she’s gonna carry a Roger Vivier bag every time. Now that is loyalty.

Kristina Bazan
Dior Shoulder Bag
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

Like Chiara, Kristina’s career has endured past when most industry veterans probably assumed bloggers would lose the limelight.

Leila Slimani
Chanel Frame Bag
Shop Chanel Bags via Vestiaire Collective

And now, for someone a little different than the normal Chanel parade: Leilia is a writer and journalist.

Lily Taieb
Chanel Boy Bag
Shop Chanel Boy Bags via Vestiaire Collective

And now, right back to the normal Chanel parade! Don’t let me shock you by telling you Lily is an up-and-coming French actress.

Glenda Bailey
Gabriela Hearst Nina Bag

I always love it when paparazzi get a shot of a fashion vet like Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey.

Liu Wen
Chanel Shoulder Bag
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

Supermodels are so often instructed to scowl in front of cameras that I didn’t even know Liu Wen had such a lovely smile.

Louise Bourgoin
Dior J’Adior Bag
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

I assumed Louise was another early 20s French ingenue, but she’s in her mid-30s. I’d really like to read more about her skincare routine.

Lucy Boynton
Chanel Tweed Shoulder Bag
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

Just when you think you’ve got Karl pegged, he switches things up and gives you an English actress.

Luna de Casanova
Hermès Alligator Kelly Bag

Google search results are not all that helpful when it comes to figuring out who Luna is, so I’m gonna take a stab at it: socialite?

Miroslava Duma
Gabriela Hearst Nina Bag

We all know who Miroslava is, though, and she appears to have continued to distance herself from her previous street style stardom at Couture Week.

Olga Kurylenko
Chanel Drawstring Bag
Shop Chanel via Vestiaire Collective

I wanna touch that coat.I bet it’s so soft.

Olivia Palermo
Les Petits Joueurs Alex Satchel
Shop via Neiman Marcus

Olivia has developed the somewhat irritating (to me) habit of not carrying bags to fashion shows, but we caught her with one during PCW.

Sofie Valkiers
Dior Crossbody Bag
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

Elena Perminova’s fencing outfit from earlier also comes in dress form.

Soko
Dior Diorama Bag
Shop Dior via Vestiaire Collective

Honestly I’m just glad there are still some weirdos in fashion.

Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham Half Moon Shoulder Bag
$1,950 via Net-a-Porter

Every now and then, it is good and uplifting to consider how vast and excellent Victoria Beckham’s fashion transformation has been
