Celeb Gossip Is Almost More Interesting Than Said Celebs’ Handbag Picks This Week

Almost, but not quite. It was a busy weekend for celebs, what with Wimbledon, extremely high-profile weddings and a mass celeb exodus from Paris Couture Week. All that celeb news, combined with numerous celeb cheating/divorce rumors that we’re too classy to mention here will indubitably make for some premium tabloid reading tomorrow. But I refuse to be distracted from my core mission: bringing you the best celebrity handbag picks on a bi-weekly basis.

Chrissy Teigen
The Row Classic 5 Satchel
$5,500 via Saks

Here’s Chrissy Teigen, who is quickly becoming our go-to celeb for premium bi-weekly bag choices, arriving at LAX after making an appearance at Paris Couture Week. She’s carrying a black leather The Row Classic Tote with wooden top handles. It’s odd when a bag from The Row isn’t the most expensive bag featured in one of these roundups, but this one certainly isn’t.

Gabrielle Union
Prada Top Handle Briefcase
Shop Prada via Bergdorf Goodman

Gabrielle Union was recently spotted out and about in NYC in a double denim look that she polished off with a most attractive Prada briefcase. We actually saw Gabrielle carrying this same bag last week, which is not especially shocking, because celebrities have shown a lot of love to the Prada Briefcase this summer. In fact, we dubbed it one of The Prada Bags Celebs Are Loving. (Spoiler: celebs are loving this briefcase and a Prada Shoulder Bag which is very similar to this briefcase.)

Kylie Jenner
Hermès Birkin

Here’s Kylie Jenner, leaving dinner at Craig’s with a smaller 30cm red Birkin. I have no maternal instincts to speak of, but I really do worry about little Kylie Jenner. She’s still just 17, but she dresses/dates/lives/looks/tabloids like she’s 25 or even 30 at times. Yes, I am using “tabloid” as a verb, and I think it’s pretty appropriate.

Nicky Hilton
Christian Dior Lady Dior Bag

Nicky Hilton and her longtime boyfriend James Rothschild wed in London over the weekend, but a few days beforehand, she enjoyed some ladies-only pre-wedding festivities at Harry’s Bar with her sister Paris and mother Kathy. She’s carrying a dainty white Lady Dior that seems appropriately bridal and pairs perfectly with her lovely embellished lace dress from Giambattista Valli.

Nicole Trunfio
Valentino Rockstud Crossbody Bag
$1,495 via Nordstrom

Here’s Aussie model Nicole Trunfio, looking fairly disgusted with the paps in NYC. A Rockstud Valentino bag has become an essential part of a the professional model’s arsenal, just like sparkling spring water.

Rihanna
Giorgio Armani Le Sac 11 Handbag
$1,918 via farfetch.com

People had no problem spotting Rihanna at JFK, even though she obviously attempted to disguise herself in this oversized military jumpsuit. Celebs tend to carry Armani bags pretty sparingly, and although Armani isn’t really thought of as a handbag designer, we loved several of the runway offerings from his Fall 2015 collection.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Christian Dior Diorama Bag

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley made an appearance at the Dior show at Paris Couture Week last week and then reappeared at LAX carrying an embroidered Dior Diorama. It’s an unusual choice for Rosie, who tends to prefer large Saint Laurent Sacs du Jour and Balenciaga totes. Are those tiny roses on her jacket? I swear Rosie’s style has gotten exponentially more “traditionally English” in recent weeks.

Sienna Miller
Alexander McQueen Legend Bag
$2,195 via Saks

Lastly, here’s Sienna Miller, dressed to the nines at Wimbledon and carrying an Alexander McQueen Legend Bag that she’s owned and loved since April (at least). It’s holding up quite well.
