That’s probably not what you expected, and honestly, it’s not what I figured would be happening right now either, but the retailers don’t lie. The bags: they’re here.
Pre-fall is often when lots of new designs launch because the stock that arrives in stores for the season will stay on shelves much longer than what the stores have ordered for fall or spring. That makes pre-fall an opportune moment to make sure a debut gets plenty of face time with potential buyers, and the season’s pre-orders are full of bags we’ve only ever seen before in lookbooks or on runways.
