When I first spotted the Burberry Knotted Hobo, it was love (cue song from Lady and the Tramp when they share spaghetti and meatballs now). While the Burberry Hobo is not ridiculously expensive, I still found a great option for the look for less.
Let me introduce the Marc by Marc Jacobs Bow Wow Wow Slingdoodle Leather Crossbody Bag. Ok, let’s please all ignore the name of the bag. It is funny, but rather ridiculous. As if the Bow Wow Wow was not enough Marc Jacobs added the Slingdoodle. Anyhow, back to the matter at hand.
I adore a good hobo, and find myself wearing hobos often. An additional touch which adds such a soft feminine dimension, like the twisted knot detail, lures me in. And why wouldn’t it? It is super stylish and feminine. The good thing about these two bags is they are similar yet different. The Burberry option appears more dressy with the soft lambskin and unified design. The Marc by Marc Jacobs version on the other hand combines both leather and perforated leather with tassel detail. Both bags offer similar looks, both bags feature the twisted knot detail, but both bags are different.
Buy the Burberry bag via Bloomingdale’s for $1,095 and buy the Marc by Marc Jacobs bag via Bloomingdale’s for $458.
