I love BV. Finally, after a full year of longing after the Roma in silver/gray, I took the plunge, and have not suffered any buyer's remorse (unusual for me) because of the timelessness of BV bags. But I gotta tell you - occassionally BV strays and offers bags that I consider "faddish" rather than classic. That's all well and good, I like designers who are willing to step out of the box; I'm just not willing to spend a ton of cash for a style that mimics something from Urban Outfitters, no matter how beautifully done. When I look at this bag, I'm reminded of the purses that I wore in 8th grade - saddle pouch with long skinny strap, worn off of one shoulder or, better yet, across the body, and because of my petite stature, practically hitting my knees with every step. And you know what? It looked horrendous then, and, 20 years later, I'm betting that it's not gonna look much better on me now.

I'm having a hard time with this one. I LOVE BV for their beauty and timelessness. However, this particular bag looks like something I'd normally avoid. It could be simply because small bags with long straps are just not my thing. I don't like to knock BV too much though, as they rarely do any wrong! This is a great way to get a much more affordable BV as well. Can't go wrong with white.

This bag is both beautiful and cute, mixing the timeless woven leather with an adorable design. I definitely agree that the gold pops, especially in the picture above, and it adds more to the design. I usually love the Bottega Veneta bags, and this one is no exception! A good find.

The bag doesn't make a statement but it is a classic purse. It would look better in a black though lol

Luv BV. Luv this new design. I have two of the Maxi
Veneta's (one red, one black) and they are constant "go to" bags. I really like this one as well, but would like it to be just a wee bit bigger and perhaps in a dark, rich brown. I could not stand it if I got a white one and that pretty baby got grubby. I really see the BV bags as work horses.
