PurseBlog Beauty: 10 Products to Have in Your Bag at All Times

If we all got to luxuriate at home all day, it would solve a lot of problems. (It would create some others, sure, but there are Vitamin D supplements for that.) Your makeup would always be fresh, your hair would never fall flat, you’d have time to re-watch the last season of Orange Is The New Black on Netflix before the new one comes out. Luckily, I can fix two of those three problems with stuff that will fit easily into your bag.

While it might not be advisable to carry all of the beauty products below at the same time and in the same bag, I know there are some of you who practically have full pharmacies in the depths of your Balenciagas. If that’s not you, these are great quick-fixes to keep in your desk drawer of glove compartment; they’ll all come in handy even more often than they seem like they will now.

L’Occitane Beautiful Hands Cream Set
$28 via Sephora

First of all, I am a big fan of buying minis in a set; put one in your bag, one in your desk and one in your car to cover all your bases. Second, L’Occitane is great, and the brand’s hand creams are widely beloved.

Travolo Touch Refillable Perfume Rollerball
$20 via Macy’s

You probably already pay plenty for your perfume; this empty, refillable tube is filled from any standard spray perfume bottle, so you don’t have to buy and re-buy more product. For office or travel purposes, a rollberball is best because it’s less likely to bother those around you.

Mayron’s Good Sun Stuff SPF30 Natural Sunscreen
$24 via Anthropologie

Like I mentioned not long ago, I have recently become aware of how handy and useful it is to carry sunscreen in your purse, especially during warm weather. Not only is this stuff all natural, but it has the added benefit of not spilling in your purse.

Mai Couture Pigmented Makeup Paper Pack
$24 via Anthropologie

In general, I’m against carrying actual makeup jars and tubes in your purse–it’s bulky and messy. These ingenious little sheets combine oil absorption and color–each pack includes highlighter, blush and bronzer. They take up practically no space and really work.

Evian Travel Size Facial Water Spray, Set of 3

If you’re overheated or feeling dried out, this facial spray will do the trick. Yes, even if you’re wearing makeup–just hold it a little further from your face.

Burt’s Bees Cucumber and Sage Facial Cleansing Towelettes
$6 via Macy’s

Whether you’re using a couple of these to take your whole face of makeup off when you drink too much wine at a friend’s house and have to sleep on the couch or you’re using the corner of one to clean up some unruly eyeliner before going to dinner, they’re good to have around.
