I may have skipped the Black Friday hordes because of past retail experience, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t buy anything during the year’s busiest retail weekend. I ordered a cute printed dress from Saks and will probably place at least one ShopBop order before today is done in order to take advantage of my favorite e-tailer’s massive sale. Having skipped the crowds entirely, I’m feeling quite accomplished as an online shopper.

But since we’re a blog that celebrates shopping in all of its various and sundry forms, we want to hear from you, our lovely readers: Did you pick up anything special this weekend? What stores did you hit and who had the best sales? Links, pictures, stories or all of the above are welcomed in the comments. We hope that your shopping weekend was as successful as ours!

I did holiday shopping at ShopBop!! Got tons of great stuff for myself, family, and friends!

I came this close to getting a black Chloe Paraty in the Saks sale this morning (EU time). BTW – fantastic bag selection for sales.

  • Bunny Masseuse

Camped 5 hrs outside a store at the outlet mall :) Got what I came for, and other stuff there. No complaints, met some great new people, including potentially a new friend who can help me find some good property!

  • I continued my online exploits today by buying some Miu Miu loafers and an Alexander Wang cardigan on the Net-a-Porter sale, which everyone should check out because it’s f’ing awesome.

That sounds amazing Amanda. You had me at Alexander Wang.

Not quite designer, but I got a cute thermal top at Target. Not on sale, but adorable with polar bears on it. On Target.com it’s Xhilaration Juniors Henley Thermal Pajama Top – Polar Bear Print.

You can see the rest of my haul on my blog…prettyallthetime.blogspot.com

I pretended that I was in my twenties again and bought a very fabulous black leather jacket from Soia & Kyo.

I don’t do the Black Friday thing. I’d never get out with all of the crowds. I did the little Christmas shopping, that I’ve decided to do, on line. When I do go to the mall, during the holiday season, it’s to shop for things for myself. I don’t like rushing through the mall looking for gifts for other people. I like to take my time on the internet and look at a wide variety of items.

I did zip down to South Coast Plaza the day after Black Friday and it was a breeze and I had no parking problems, as I park across the street on the “Crystal Court” side. Most of the crowds were out on Black Friday, so it was calm the day after.

Shopping stress free at the malls is possible with planning. I don’t get to the mall until the late afternoon. Most people are trying to get there early. By the time I get there they are going home and I just pull into a space. I did the same yesterday at Westfield Topanga. No problems. Easy sailing!

I also checked out the Net-A-Porter sale and stocked up on Rick Owens — my absolute favorite designer. A gray leather jacket, black harem pants and a blackberry case for my brother. I also got the Burberry stingray ring for my mom.
I also got some accessories at the shopbop big event.

My Black-friday shopping started on Monday (online) and then it lead to the stores in person and back online. I guess I spoiled myself quite a bit. =P

I ordered a Banana Republic coat, I also ordered a desk from target. Then I went and bought two pajama sets from target along with other pajamas for family. Kiehls had a really good deal so I stocked up for the next 6 months. Bought the new xbox kinect along with the kinect sports (not on sale….but it was just too fun to resist!!!). Then I hopped online to Net-a-porter and ordered an ella bra. I can’t wait until everything arrives. =) The coat and desk are already here and I’m in loveee <3 I did buy a sonicare set for my brother and mom for christmas from costco. ^_^

I went to Rural King in Rantoul IL – was there for a funeral and needed to pick up some poultry netting (to cover my tulip beds) and some saltwater taffy for a gal in Sweden.

    I’m totally serious.

Black Friday at the Rural King. Had to wait behind a guy who was returning some hydraulic fluid. It was horrible! I had to wait 2.3 whole minutes!

I swear I am not making this up.

I live in the country, btw, so I can make fun of it!

I was going to drop a photo in, but it won’t let me…
