It’s that time again! Our friends at Rue La La are launching Handbags by Louis Vuitton: Picks by Bella Bags right now, and the selection of pre-owned and vintage LV is absolutely insane. Not only does the sale include all the Vuitton classics like the Speedy and Neverfull in all of their different sizes and materials, but the it also includes limited edition pieces, past-season favorites and a selection from each of LV’s famous artist collaborations.

To celebrate yet another beautiful start to a summer weekend, we’ve scoured the Internet to find you some red hot (both literally and figuratively) handbag deals to start things off on just the right note. From bright orange and red, to leopard print, to snakeskins real and faux alike, these bags are sure to lift your spirits and perhaps lower your bank balance.

If you’re a shopper outside the US (and we realize there are a lot of you) who’ve been looking on at the American sale season with a mixture of envy and annoyance over the past two weeks, your time in the sun has finally arrived: the Net-a-Porter International Sale launched this morning, which covers all of the sites non-North American markets, including Europe and Asia.

Last night’s derecho didn’t blow all of New York City off the face of the Earth, somehow, so we’re back on this Friday morning to share another week’s worth of bag deals with you guys. The Internet has been a rather deal-laden place lately, with more merchants moving to second markdowns on their summer sales seemingly every day. We’ve slogged through the pages upon pages of deals at all of our favorite online retailers, and below, we’ve distilled them down into the nine best below-retail bag buys of the week.

The only thing better than the start of a sale is when a store marks down the sale items even lower, and over at the Net-a-Porter Sale, second-markdown season has officially begun. NAP is the first major online retailer to offer additional discounts on its sale pieces, and in addition to that, its added even more stuff to the sale section for your bargain-shopping pleasure.

We’ve talked quite a bit lately about how women can get great deals on spring and summer styles at almost every major retailer by now, but many major retailers are having their men’s sales now, too. Neiman Marcus, Mr. Porter and SSENSE all have a great selection of men’s bags on markdown, and we’ve taken the liberty of pre-shopping those sites on your behalf in order to search out the best pieces available at a discount.

We’re still in the thick of the major spring-summer sale season, and that means that beyond the great individual bag deals we’ve rounded up for you below, we’ve got some more generalized good news on the money-saving front as well. First, the Bloomingdale’s Friends & Family Sale is on, which means that you can save 20% off of almost any Bloomingdale’s purchase (including sale!) through June 9 with code FANDF.

You guys are pros at this whole sale-shopping thing, and even if you aren’t, you’ve probably picked up on a few trick in the past week. One of the most obvious things you might have noticed is that in luxury fashion, the average discount you can expect on first markdowns is 30%. It’s the default that almost all major retailers go to, both online and in stores, with a few items reaching 40% or 50% to pull in hopeful shoppers and move the most overstocked items quickly.

I know that we’ve been talking about sales ad infinitum for the past week, but when what seems like every retailer on the planet conspires to take all their markdowns simultaneously, they leave us no choice. We’ve covered most of the department stores at this point, but before we sit back to wait for second markdown, we wanted to point your attention toward the SSENSE Sale.

Our favorite thing, other than the start of a sale, is when designers add new things to ongoing sales. That’s what’s just happened bright and early this morning at the semi-annual Net-a-Porter Sale, and if you check your favorite fashion sites instead of reading the newspaper with your weekend morning coffee, you’re in luck. Brands added to the sale include Proenza Schouler, Bottega Veneta and Michael Kors, all up to 50% off.
