After a busy weekend with the family, I am somewhat back into the swing of things now. I find myself constantly checking back to find what bag I must have that is so reasonable now that it is finally on sale. My behind is sore from kicking it over missing two of my favorite clutches, so now I am going to try to re-justify all of this by making a larger purchase. Two designer handbags that have my eye today are the Miu Miu Nappa Leather Bag and the Fendi Patent Leather B Bag. Surprisingly, the Miu Miu bag caught my fancy at Saks the other day. It is light and fluffy so to speak and the optional across body strap is perfect for everyday use. It is a thin strap, so don’t carry everything but the kitchen sink in the bag and expect the strap to hold. But I really was delighted with the way the bag fit. As far as the Fendi Patent Leather B Bag goes I am a huge fan of this bag and the pink patent leather has my girly side head-over-heels in love. Both are marked down and both are calling my name at the NAP Sale.

The sales are still going on and I keep hoping to find something I have to have. Typically, I find something that is priced so well that I figure I have to have it, but it sits in my closet until it is given to Goodwill. I am a really awful bargain shopper, the worst kind, but I find it totally justifiable to shop when an item is marked on ’sale’. Now I truly believe if I went for this Prada bag, I would actually use it. The Prada Canvas and Leather Tote combines a canvas body with saffiano leather trim and golden hardware. I love the simplicity of this bag with the elegant touch. It is like a plain vanilla cake with a delightful chocolate butter cream frosting. Ok, I lied, it may not be that good, but it is still a great tote nonetheless. The only aspect that could hold me back is the double handle drop, which info is not given on Saks. If this tote did not have enough wiggle room, the large dimensions (15″W X 12¼”H X 5¾”D) would end up being far too heavy just to carry by hand, completely defeating its original purpose in my handbag mind. There is an optional shoulder strap, but I find this bag to appear far more elegant over the shoulder on in your hands than across your body. I may be completely off my rocker and wrong though. Marked down at Saks for $940.

The dreadful in between of new handbags is creating such a void in my life I feel like I’m stuck in some drab, hazzy mess (actually, come to think of it, Columbus is just that right now ). At least the sale bags can tide us all over. A stunning little evening bag or just mini day bag, the Bottega Veneta Mini Shoulder Bag adds appeal with chain link piping on top of BV’s signature woven leather. This bag hails from the Resort 2007 collection and is already on sale. Seriously, get it. I would jump on it if I had not bought the Quarzo Clutch. The brass hardware is understated yet elegant. The bag completes itself with a top handle, hidden magnetic closure, and suede lining. Measurements are 9½”W X 4½”H X 2½”D. Marked down from $850 to $595 via Saks.

Neiman Marcus is one of my favorite places to shop for overpriced designer goodies, despite not accepting my Visa card. Oh yes, I do our fair share to keep the economy flowing. And when NM has shoulder candy on sale, I need to share. Below are some of my favorites:
