Kenzo Patchwork Leather and Twill Shoulder Bag

We’ve spent the past few days in a frenzy of markdowns, seasonal sales and coupon codes, and now that we feel like we’ve scoured every corner of the Internet for great discount handbags, we figured that it was time to take a breather and see where things stand right now. Based on the rate at which the most lust-worthy designer bags have been disappearing from the sale pages of retailers left and right, we know that someone out there, possibly several someones, is buying things, and we want to hear about it.

As for me, I’ve been hedging my bets and watching this Kenzo Patchwork Leather and Twill Shoulder Bag. For me, sales are always the time that I jump on something a little bit fun and different, and a bag that combines white leather, bright leopard print and tiger-striped faux raffia definitely fits that description. At 40% off, it comes out at an easy-on-the-wallet price of $480, but I can’t help but wonder if it’ll get a second markdown if I wait just a bit longer. Of course, that’s also a good way to miss out on a great deal, so I might go ahead and pull the trigger on this cute summer shoulder bag. It’s still up in the air.

Also, which sale has been your favorite? I’m partial to the Barneys sale because of the store’s great assortment of designers, but if you’re looking for the biggest selection overall, Neiman Marcus seems to be where it’s at. Contemporary your thing? Nordstrom and ShopBop killing it. The most well-edited selection? Gotta be Net-a-Porter.

Chloe “Ethel” and Marc Jacobs “Antonia” (Neiman Marcus)

If you’re only counting these recent sales, I just snagged a Tila March suede camel daisy tote from Barneys. (Last week I received a Milly mini Emerson (croc embossed) shoulder bag in mustard from Neiman Marcus–also on sale). I had been waiting for Tila March to go on sale. I love the unique selection Barneys has; however, there is no Barneys where I live, so I am reluctant to purchase brands online that I have not seen in person–especially at some of those price points. Although I had received the presale notices from Neiman Marcus, Saks and Bergdorf Goodman, nothing really caught my eye so I passed. My goal is to add a variety of designers to my collection in a range of prices (preferably on sale). In the last year I’ve also purchased Olivia Harris, Cole Haan, Lanvin (small bowling bag), Gucci (Soho), Givenchy (Pandora) and Louis Vuitton (Neverfull).

We recent released some new bags on our website. We love them and so far have heard nothing but good things from customers. Great addition to our custom leather phone cases.

BV ricamo rete knot minaudiere (Neiman Marcus), Givenchy mini pandora (Barneys), Ferragamo mixed media sofia (Saks) – had also attempted a Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily at Barneys, but, as much as I love them, they never know what they have in stock!

Jimmy Choo and Prada are having great sales at their stand alone stores. I haven’t purchased any handbags but I picked up a pair of Miu Miu Ballerina Bow Flats and a pair of Tory Burch Carrie Ballet Flats at Neimans.

I have the opportunity to visit NYC in mid June for 48 hours. My focus for this trip will be Hermes and Celine. Where in NYC can you find the best selection of Celine handbags?

I’ve seen a wide selection of Celine at Barneys in Chicago and Beverly Hills. I imagine the same would be true for Barneys in New York.

I’d say check Barneys first, then Bergdorf Goodman.
