Ok, so for the most part, it seems as though most people either love or hate L.A.M.B. handbags. While there is always some sort of divide when it comes to handbag likes and dislikes, I feel as though for the most part, L.A.M.B. really speaks to a very unique crowd. As a L.A.M.B. lover, you have to embrace loud, out there, in your face handbags.
I was in total agreement with Amanda’s review of the Marc by Marc Jacobs Damisi Patchwork Leola Satchel. There are plenty of pluses but the finish of the bag did make it look a tad cheap. Now, I do love when I can find a great designer bag at a low price, but I will never carry a bag that looks cheap.
Against perhaps my better judgment, I really like the Alexander Wang Jena Laser-Cut Leather Clutch. And I mean, I like, REALLY like it. The shape is a bit odd and I typically stay away from oddly shaped bags. Don’t ask me why, it’s just what I do. Yet, this clutch, this adorable, edgy and versatile clutch has captured my attention and I’ve not been able to get out of its hold since.
You all have to know by now that I am not a fan of Juicy Couture handbags. This all started way back when Megs purchased a Juicy Couture bag that made my eyes bleed. Granted this was years and years and years ago, but I still remember the day she came home with it. Now, Megs is much more of a fashionista than I, so I probably should have just kept my mouth shut and appreciated the bag for what it was.
How do you feel about bead work on a handbag? Unfortunately for me, bead work seems to be very hit or miss. There are some bags where the bead work is exquisite and I want nothing more than to find a reason, any reason to carry that particular bag. Then there are other times when I simply don’t understand why a designer would settle for misplaced or thoughtlessly placed beads.
First of all, I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Mine was filled with my three favorite F’s: family, fun and food. We didn’t do anything too over the top, but we had a great time nonetheless. While I was catching some rays in the pool, I glanced over and saw my Dad fire up the grill. As he did that, I remembered that Father’s Day was right around the corner.
I am sure some of you might actually read this after Memorial Day Weekend. There are so many of us who love to tag an extra vacation day onto a 3-day weekend making it that much sweeter. But, for those of you who haven’t already started your trek to the beach or a mountain cabin, I might have found something that you might like to take with you this weekend.
Every handbag lover out there has a different taste. While this means so many of us can be on complete opposite ends of the interest spectrum, it means that designers are pushed to create a plethora of designs for us. So, no matter what you like, we all win!
And as someone who spends more hours than most staring and evaluating handbags, I can appreciate the quality of a bag even if I would never be caught dead carrying it myself.
Ok, so if you are reading this, chances are you do a lot of reading online. I certainly do. However, I am still one of those people who absolutely loves to curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee (or glass of wine, depending on the time of day) and pick up a magazine or newspaper to read. There is something almost therapeutic about flipping pages, sipping on my drink and taking everything in.
There are some bags out there that I see and instantly know I must have. The Coach Kristin Leather Hobo is one of these bags. Before I go much further, you all have probably picked up on how Amanda and I want to try and cover more Coach bags. Frankly, these bags are great and there is no reason not to cover them more.
