Whoever said “You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your handsome prince,” clearly never looked on the Kate Spade website and came across this beautiful Kate Spade I Kissed a Frog Clutch. Who needs a toad when you have a golden frog atop an all-glitter evening bag? This clutch is bound to fill your heart with glee whether or not you have found your Prince Charming.

Without any context, who would have thought that carrying around a crystalized zoo animal would be so posh? Somehow, year after year, Judith Leiber makes its eccentric, idiosyncratic style work. The brand’s crystal-studded minaudière bags are Leiber’s most iconic pieces by a mile, and even though there are imitations, nothing beats owning the real deal. From the first teardrop-shaped minaudière, which debuted decades ago, Leiber’s designs have become steadily more unique and more daring.
I’m rather disappointed in myself that it took me this long to write about one of my all-time favorite designers, Michael Kors. In my defense, I did write about a pair of fabulous Michael Kors Bromley Boots on our TalkShoes site not long ago. Admittedly, I got so sidetracked with other fabulous bags that I forgot to talk about one of my favorites, but how could you blame me?
Believe it or not, writing about luxury handbags has one itty bitty downside. It’s hard to believe there’s a downside at all, right? I mean, I get to look the latest handbags in the industry and analyze them and report back to you with the pros, cons and aesthetic pleasures (for the most part) of such bags. Again, what’s not to love?
Two weeks ago, we saw the debut of the Prada Spring 2013 handbag collection, where Muiccia Prada put on a handbag showcase with lots of eccentrism. You name it, it was featured on her handbags: studs, fur, and flower prints just to name a few.
So after the Fashion Week hype and with a little time to digest all of the upcoming bold, vibrant and sometimes unconventional designs, sometimes it’s nice to look back at the classics.
This clutch is just another example of my ever-growing love for all things Louboutin. Christian Louboutin has a knack for taking ordinary accessories and loading them with details and embellishments to make them unlike others on the market. What I personally love about Louboutin is you never know what concoction he will create. His aesthetic is one that never disappoints me – I like things a little bit on the wild side.
Calling all animal print lovers, this is an animal print handbag you do not want to miss out on. While procrastinating on doing my ever-so-interesting homework (hopefully my professors aren’t reading this), the Tory Burch Medium Haircalf Top Bag caught my eye. It’s the perfect accessory that can be used all year round, and it’ll give any outfit that double-take factor.
Year after year, collection after collection, I fall in love with the designs of Kate Spade again and again. I tend to gravitate towards Spade’s handbags because the brand knows how to tastefully mix modern chic with vintage glam. In that vein, the Kate Spade Wordsmith Dictionary Leather-bound Book clutch does not disappoint.
The first Kate Spade piece I ever owned was a royal blue cosmetic case that my mom bought me for my birthday when I turned thirteen.
I know, I know. From the title of this post, I know what you must be thinking. Oh joy, another Kardashian-inspired post! (Apply either a sarcastic or gleeful tone, whichever you feel is correct.) The Kardashian sisters are in Miami filming yet another season of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, and earlier in this week, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian spent a glamorous day at the beach.
Orange has never been my color of choice, and not just when it comes to fashion. I mean that to me, orange was the color of last resort and tended to be the last color chosen out of the Crayola box when I was a kid. With orange-mania taking over the fashion scene this year, though, now a good portion of my wardrobe and accessories have been invaded by orange hues.
