By “yesteryear”, I mean, of course, 2014. Two of 2015’s hottest new designer bags continued to gain steam this week (not going to name names; all will be revealed within), and a few of our faves from last year appeared on the arm/general vicinity of Karlie Kloss, who made it home from Paris Fashion Week.

Our first celeb bag round-up of the week features a LOT of basic black bags, but thankfully there are enough exciting new reiterations of some of your old favorites to whet any bag lover’s metaphorical appetite. And there are appearances by Duchess Kate AND Miley Cyrus, which is reason enough to click through, really.
Celebrities were a little standoffish with paps this week, even the ones whose continued relevancy rests in the hands of the paparazzi almost entirely. But hey, the sun is finally peeking out in NYC, and Paris Fashion Week is still going on in Paris, so I don’t begrudge them if they feel they have better things to do than vogue for enthusiastic street photogs the world over.
Fame requires a lot of legwork. Sure, once you’ve made it, someone will usually send a car to ferry you from place to place, but there’s still a fair bit of hoofing involved if you want to stay relevant. That’s why so many of the snapshots we feature are of celebrities dashing through airports, in and out of studios and around throngs of fans.
This is not one of those celeb bag roundups where everyone looks totally relatable and down-to-earth, and half the celebs we feature are just grabbing some fro-yo in West Hollywood. This is one of those celeb bag round-ups where (almost) everyone brought their A-game, right along with their A-game handbags.
This week, Christian Dior launched a brand new handbag in London, and a choice selection of British celebs (and their favorite Dior bags) turned out to welcome the Dior Diorama into the world. Back across the pond, the usual paparazzi-friendly celebs did their daily grind in NYC and LA, albeit with some highly unusual bag selections.
Celebrity fashion continues to drive home the fact that LA and NYC are polar (vortex) opposites, but the bag picks of half-frozen supermodels and bare-armed actresses on both coasts are always choice, even when the weather is less than idyllic. In related news, the Givenchy Mini Pandora has emerged as this week’s “bag for all seasons.”
