New York Fashion Week is happening now (this seems like one of the longer Fashion Weeks, no?), and countless celebrities are being ferried through JFK on their way to front rows all over town. Givenchy and Hermès seem to be the celeb brands of choice for all NYFW travel-related purposes this week.

It looks like the Prada Inside Bag is primed to be a popular celeb choice for Fall 2015. It’s only recently been made available to Prada’s loyal following, both celeb and mere mortal, but I expect we’ll be seeing a fair bit of it from now through September.

Celebrities are going minimal with the new Valentino My Rockstud Bag. The use of the word “Rockstud” in the name is a bit of a misnomer, because unlike everything else Rockstudded, this bag (rather surprisingly) has precious few actual studs.

Venice was bursting at the seams with film industry A-listers last week, and, fair warning, they started making their way back to American shores over the weekend, so you can expect a fair amount of celeb photos from the airport later this week.

Celebs were extremely busy this week, and if you don’t already feel like you’re wasting the precious remainder of summer in the office, you will after you finish reading this post. Rihanna launched a new fragrance, Kris Jenner just released her new cookbook (yes!) and everyone else was flocking to and from the VMAs or checking out exotic destinations like, uh, Toronto.

While this is certainly a fairly diverse edition of our celeb bag round-ups, bag-wise, the big names continue to steal the show. There’s a stunning croc Fendi bag on display that costs as much as I make in many months, as well as a bevy of Hermès Birkins (per usual) and a few fun selections from more mid-range brands that might not completely devour your entire paycheck.

As we careen toward the end of summer, it’s once again time to gather ’round in our cut-off jean shorts and semi-sheer tanks and reexamine some of the best bag looks of the season. We had strong showings from brands like Givenchy, Fendi and Saint Laurent, which should come as a surprise to no one.

There are two clear winners of this round-up: Fendi and Louis Vuitton. And, interestingly enough, almost every Louis Vuitton bag represented here is one of the brand’s classic logo designs instead of the newer, more subtle styles.

This week, celebs have surprised us with a few rather obscure handbag choices from lesser-known brands that are at the peripheries of our radar, as well as bags from the major brands that generally have a lower profile.

Edie Parker‘s simple, chic plexiglass clutches have really taken off with celebrities this summer. These clutches have become so de riguer in recent months that it’s starting to feel somewhat rare to spot a celeb carrying a clutch from any other brand.
