It seems summer gets shorter and shorter every year. But while summer vacay is rapidly spiraling to a close for some of us (kids actually go back to school before August now, in some places), celebs seem to be hitting their summer stride.
Celeb photos stress me out sometimes. For example, Ariel Winter is now legally old enough to get into certain clubs, which could get really weird, really fast. One of our favorite bag collectors is going through what is undoubtedly a very tough break-up this week, and a certain celeb’s Victoria Beckham get-up has me deeply, if temporarily, regretting all the life choices I made that led to me not being a sample size.
Last week, Real Housewives lunched together, up-and-coming supermodels dined together, Eva Longoria packed a Birkin and got out of Dodge, and several of our most glamorous celebs promoted their multiple movies or TV shows. (Because they can never have just one.) Collective celeb handbag preferences continue to branch out in both Gucci‘s and Christian Louboutin‘s directions, while still staying true to Givenchy, Saint Laurent, The Row, and of course, Hermès and Chanel.
This seems like an especially flashy celeb handbag roundup, mostly because so many people carried multi-thousand dollar handbags to LAX, PCW, or various international summer soirees. And, of course, several of them did so while on the arms of their significant others or spouses, who all happen to have multi-million dollar net worths.
We are all in for a treat today, because it’s Paris Couture Week and our photo service is flooded with photos of the celebs that really matter: the fashion editors, of course. Maybe Esther Quek isn’t a household name yet (or as much of a household name as an Anna Dello Russo might be), but you’re going to want to start paying attention to what she has to wear and what she has to say.
Celebrities have come together to make a clear statement about something they care very deeply about: red handbags. Is red symbolic? Is it meant to raise awareness about meaningful issues? No, absolutely not. It’s just extremely on-trend this week, and possibly this season.
