After being stuck in layers of black clothing and endless snow, we’ve found ourselves in a constant state of daydreaming. We’ve been wishing for sunny palm trees, bold handbags and endless outdoor brunches. While we continue to wait to make those dreams happen, we can love yours in the meantime, even if it’s just via Instagram!
By the looks of this week’s #PBWIMB roundup, it seems plenty of you are already enjoying the sunshine and toting around your brightly colored bags, while others are still bearing the cold weather and hiding under layers of cashmere and wool.
After a long and amazing week at South by Southwest, it feels good to finally be back in New York (minus the cold weather, of course). Last Thursday, Amanda and I jetted off Austin to spend a week at SXSW Interactive, attending thought-provoking panels and keynotes, eating tons of delicious food, exploring the city with great bags and making new friends.
For the second installment of PurseBlog Eats, we ventured down to the Lower East Side of Manhattan to pay a visit to The Fat Radish. Upon arrival, the restaurant provides an immediate sense of warmth and coziness – it’s the kind of soft-lit candle glow that feels completely effortless and genuine.
March has finally arrived, and while it may not be snowing anymore, it certainly doesn’t feel like spring to us. As the cold weather continues in New York, our bags remain filled with plenty of chapstick, moisturizer and scarves galore. That’s why in this week’s #PBWIMB we asked you to dig deep into the bottoms of your bags and show us what you were carrying inside.
According to this week’s #PBWIMB Instagram Roundup, I think I can confidently say everyone (or nearly everyone) is a fan of Chanel. Here at PurseBlog Headquarters, we see plenty of Chanel on a daily basis, but this week on Instagram it was particularly apparent, and we’re certainly not complaining.
The runway shows during fashion week are great, but one of our favorite things to do during the week is see what bags some of fashion’s favorite insiders are carrying. Most people use fashion week as an opportunity to break out their weirdest bags or their most covetable fashion items, and trust us when we say that they certainly did just that.
The end of January is here, which means we’re that much closer to warm weather. While we anxiously await sunny days filled with tanner skin and lighter jackets, we’ve found ourselves getting lost in the exotic locations popping up on our Instagram feed.
