Not only because I’m spending the week at the beach and soaking up as much sun as possible, but because the past few weeks have been really difficult for me (I’ve lived in a huge city by myself this summer with no friends nearby, and my serious boyfriend broke up with me unexpectedly), and it’s been really hard to stay positive and make the most of life. Four years ago, I found my then 1 and a half year old son floating on the surface of my pool, unconscious, blue, not breathing, and face down. He had been alone in my bedroom for less than 10 minutes (watching a Barney video)…and managed to get out to our backyard.
A fortuitous adrenaline rush moved me to jump in the water, retrieve him, and begin CPR. My eldest daughter had recently completed her certification, and along with her help, and a genuine miracle, I was able to revive him.
My son is turning five this month. With four older sisters, Joshua is indeed the ‘prince’ in our household. Not a day passes that I don’t think about his near drowning experience, and how fortunate we are to have him, healthy and thriving.
I am an avid Ashtanga yoga enthusiast. I practice six days a week, at 6:30 am, for at least an hour and a half. My yoga practice makes me whole; it calms my mind; it gives me a sense of peace. But I still schlep all of my gear in a grungy plastic bag (strange…considering I own a couple dozen designer purses!). I desperately need something fun, functional and stylish!
Sorry for the long story – but I am indeed beyond grateful!

Lately I’ve been feeling a bit down because of a series of unfortunate events…one of them being that my grandmother is diagnosed with celiac and pancreatic cancer *sigh*. I am beyond loved because I have a wonderful support system, grateful because I have such a wonderful family and I’m almost graduating from nursing school and I’ll be able to help people very soon =), and blessed to have a boyfriend who loves me for who I am.

I am beyond positive! The past two years have been quite a whirlwind, but my mom and I have pulled through. Even through family deaths, pet deaths, moving, my mom losing her job, me having to get a job while still trying to get a decent GPA for my senior year of college, we have made it through! We have a roof over our heads, food in our tummies, and can provide for ourselves and our pets. I am looking forward to my last two semesters of college and graduating over a B average. I feel like I have an angel on my shoulder helping me cope with all the negativity around to come back on the positive side and look at the good things instead of focusing on the bad. I am so ready to take on the world!

I am beyond blessed. Even going through some terrible things lately (like losing my mom) I am still surrounded by people who love me and support me in difficult times and I have the strong sense of faith my mom has taught me and left me with.
I am beyond blessed. I have a wonderful husband, children, family, and friends I can count on. Most of all, I’m beyond blessed because God has and continues to sustain me in even the most difficult of circumstances.

I am beyond… disease. I’m almost 5 yrs diagnosed with Kidney Disease. I’m eating the right things, working out and making the best of my organs so that I can postpone needing a transplant as long as possible. I will take the best care of what I have AS LONG as I can and I won’t pass up the opportunities offered to me in the future just because I’m too lazy.

I am thankful that my mom just finished chemo for ovarian cancer a few months ago, which was found by accident during another surgery. Her recent test shows no cancer. I am thankful that after going through what seems like my own downward spiral with my health that there is a God that heals. I am thankful for the people at the food bank that are there to help with words of encouragement, and make me feel no shame. I am thankful for my 13-year-old son who keeps me focused, and keeps me from drowning in my self-pity, as I must set the example for him.
I am thankful after years of waiting that my social security awarded me as being fully disabled. I am thankful for real friends that don’t walk away when you’re sick and in pain. I am thankful that my doctor is finally letting me workout even though I have to use oxygen as I feel like I am getting my life back. I am thankful that I have a God who cares enough to never leave or forsake me. I am thankful that my tumor is now benign as I can start Yoga again. I am defiantly “beyond thankful

0ne dAy whEn i g0t bak fr0m sk00l my m0m asKed me t0 g0 t0 her d0ct0rs appointment with her,because she doesnt know how to speak english and she needed me to translate f0r her .. s0o we g0t to the doctor office and took us in hiis office. he l00ked at me n said i want you to be really str0ng, and i was like why ??? He saiid because your mother has BREAST CANCER,,… i just didnt know what to say ,the only word that my mom understood out of the doctors words was CANCER and she burst out crying and i was just shock… the doctors office iis 45 minutes away from our house … it felt like a two hour drive.. when we got home my mom went to her room and i went to my room , and my sister asked me wats wrong ,, i said she has canceR…..

and i feeel really LUCKY to still havv my mother still alive..=]

i am beyond stressed because i’ve been helping my sister with her planning her wedding and working her weddings shower. we had to work out a few things between us but all in all, it’s turning out really well. i’m really stressed out about everything and can’t wait for it to be over. i wish my sister the best but this is way too much for my plate right now.

Mine would read, “I AM BEYOND…FORTUNATE”. I have come to a point in my life where I have realized just how fortunate I am. For starters, I am fortunate to live in wonderful country that is the USA and not some war-torn, or poor country. I am fortunate to have such great family and friends, who have always been there for me when I needed them and most importantly, believe in me. I am fortunate to be in good health and not suffering from some deadly, incurable disease. Most importantly though, I am fortunate to be alive and try to live each day to its fullest and not take them for granted, because you never know when your time is up.

After batteling addiction to painkillers from a pinched nerve and a very physical factory job I’m BEYOND SHAME due to my addiction to painkillers. I found a doctor who literally gave me my life back on a silver platter 2 1/2 years ago. He had a new mediaction for replacement therapy, and I’ve been clean since the 1st time I visited him on April 22nd 2007. He’s my own private GOD. No more worrying if I can go to a friends backyard BBQ because I won’t have pills and I maybe in withdrawl. No more having to plan my life day to day based on whether my prescription has been refilled. NO MORE SHAME that I’m an “addict.”
