My husband bought me my Speedy 30 about 5 years ago and I use this bag for everything. I have to admit, it can take a beating, I love the way the leather oxides over time. I also bought a shoulder Louis Vuitton bag from a estate sale and it was really in bad shape, well I cleaned it up, the leather strap is worn but it still is hanging in there, and I have had that one for about 7 years now, I don’t use that one as much as my Speedy but it’s really a nice bag if I’m running to the mall and want a bag to sling over one of my shoulders.

I think it’s cute. Plus, I think that if you saw this on a Speedy, you’d know it wasn’t a fake. That’s because skanks that buy the fake bag would not spring for the money to add the FV keychain. Those folks at LV are SMART.

I don’t accessorize my bag with anything. I just don’t like it. Plain bag is fine to me.

I really don’t think she was insulting anyone or anything. She was just simply saying that IF you are bored with having a brown or black coloured back (only using Balenciaga and Bottega as examples), she’s suggesting adding an accessory to give it a little bit of flair and/or color. I think you took that a little too seriously.

I have an azur speedy and since my bf gave me Coach letter keyrings, I added my “A” to it. I love that it adds a personal touch and hooks nicely on the brass handle-things =)

Maybe that look is good for a BORING Louis Vuitton Speedy (does everyone and their mother have one yet?) but people love Balenciaga and BV for the simplicity of the look; not the busy LV logo.

I think it is great that you are writing a monthly/weekely, whatever column for LV, but I think you can do it without insulting other bag brands.

Just my opinion!
