This week, Christian Dior launched a brand new handbag in London, and a choice selection of British celebs (and their favorite Dior bags) turned out to welcome the Dior Diorama into the world. Back across the pond, the usual paparazzi-friendly celebs did their daily grind in NYC and LA, albeit with some highly unusual bag selections. (And yes, there’s a double dose of Taylor Swift this week. We promise it is absolutely warranted.)

The 16 Best Bags of NYFW Fall 2015
This past New York Fashion Week was a bit of a let down on a variety of levels, from the seriously frigid temperatures to the lack of great bags that went down the runway. There were some magnificent collections when it came to the clothing, but overall, the handbags weren’t amazing. Amanda discussed the lack … Read more
Hermès Debuts Minimalist Birkin
There are few sacred things in handbag design, but among them is the Hermès Birkin. When Hermès is feeling creative, the brand generally looks to the Kelly to make tweaks and create new versions–we documented nearly a dozen in our guide to Hermès bag styles, and that doesn’t include limited editions. There are far fewer Birkin styles, but now, there’s another to add to the list: the pared-down Hermès Sellier Birkin 40.
The Many Bags of the 2015 Academy Awards Red Carpet
The Academy Awards, because of their extremely formal and buttoned-up nature, often make for boring bag-spotting. Thankfully, though, this year’s red carpet provided more handbag eye candy than we’re used to. From vintage Van Cleef & Arpels to crocodile and rhinestone Louis Vuitton, there’s plenty to look at in the photos below. We even added in a couple of notable bags from the after-parties’ red carpets; we don’t think you’ll mind.
Chloé Is Getting Its Groove Back With the Drew Bag
Last April, I wrote about my feeling that Chloé had lost its groove. When it-bags were all the rage, Chloé was leading the pack with its Paddington bag; I bought two of them, which I still own. But over the years, Chloé struggled to keep its handbags in the limelight, and as a handbag lover, I found myself rarely looking to see what the brand released.
Why Aren’t There More Great American Luxury Handbag Brands?
As you might have noticed, we didn’t exactly flood the site the New York Fashion Week coverage last week. That wasn’t an oversight; we’ve found that, over the years, you guys really only care about seeing the great bag collections that go down the global runways, as well as the great bags that pop up outside. Unfortunately, for the past few seasons, it’s been a lot easier to find interesting purses on attendees’ arms than on NYFW runways. It feels like a bit of a market lull, but that only means the opportunity is right for a brand to fill the void.

Scandal Season 4, Episode 13: “You brought this on yourself.”
Before we start, I have a very sincere question: Why doesn’t Olivia live in a doorman building? Those are certainly not a unique-to-New York phenomena, and Liv can clearly afford the kind of accommodations that would include a staff that looks the other way; lord knows there must be plenty of buildings in DC that … Read more
Tory Burch Goes Retro for Her Fall 2015 Handbags
If you’ve been following the general flow of New York Fashion Week coverage, you’ve probably picked up on the major 70s thread that’s running through the lion’s share of the notable (and not-so-notable) New York collections. That aesthetic definitely held true at Tory Burch, and especially for the bags. You know the vintage saddle bags … Read more

The Rest of the Best Bags of #NYFW
We would have loved to give you photos each and every day of New York Fashion Week, but the truth is it was so so cold outside. The great bags weren’t as plentiful as in previous seasons, I am sure next season there will be more eye candy to come around and photograph.
Enjoy this last look at the rest of the best bags of New York Fashion Week and make sure you didn’t miss parts one and two.
