We have arrived at the last Friday of March more determined than ever to welcome spring, and so we shall. This week, regardless of the weather outside, we’ve scoured the PurseForum for signs of warmer days to come. We found an inspiring bag showcase, some tasty treats in the Kitchen, absolutely charming charms, and so much more. Happy Friday!

People always ask me what my favorite brand is, and I always have a hard time narrowing it down and picking one. If I were to only carry and wear Chanel the rest of my life, though, I’d be quite the happy lady. We had the amazing opportunity to preview Chanel Fall 2013 bags before almost anyone else, and we decided, what better way to show them off than to take them for a spin?
If you peruse our “The Many Bags of Taylor Swift” post, it quickly becomes obvious that Taylor Swift prefers classic tanned leather bags for daytime – almost exclusively, in fact. And Taylor makes no exception here, with the Mark Cross Scottie Large Flap Satchel she recently carried while greeting fans in NYC. This bag is considerably more luxe, however, than the majority of bags we’ve spotted her with before, which usually clock in at under a grand.
Bluefly is launching its Spring Designer Handbag Preview this Sunday, but you, lucky readers, don’t have to wait! We’ve scored early access to the sale ONLY for PurseBlog readers. Shop brands like Gucci, Tods and Mulberry at up to 20% off retail through our exclusive link. We had a chance to preview the goods and there are plenty of quality pieces to choose from.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I have a major sweet tooth, and, ok, and a major carb tooth. Give me a carb filled with sweetness, and I’m sold. One of my favorite pastries that I could easily have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is a croissant, and it seems the quirky Charlotte Olympia loves this flaky baked good as well.
Happy Friday, you guys – we’ve made it another week! It finally got around to being sorta-kinda spring in New York City this week, so everyone on the PurseBlog team is feeling an extra pep in our step. Took long enough, right? Beyond slightly elevated (relative to last week) temperatures, this Friday also brings with it a fresh iteration of our weekly bag deals list.
How do I love Bloomingdale’s? I can’t begin to count the ways. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I was raised on the brand and in the store. And every year of my life, I knew I could count on the Bloomingdale’s Friends and Family sale offering me the chance to save a ton, which meant it was wardrobe refresh time!
I’ve been sitting on my hands patiently waiting to share the amazing news of the launch of Canadian designer Mackage into the handbag market for Fall 2013. You may know Mackage for its outerwear, but prepare to know the brand for a line of handbags that are beyond good – way better than you would ever expect from a line’s first foray into the accessory market.
Here’s Hilary Duff, taking a break from balancing her baby boy Luca on her hip to taunt us with yet another Celine Luggage Tote that she’s added to the hoard. This tricolor Celine appears to be the very latest addition to Hilary’s rather premium designer bag collection – you can get a glimpse of her many other Celines, Chanels, and Goyards in “The Many Bags of Hilary Duff”!
Lately, my relationship with and love for Gucci has been growing. The brand has always been on my mind and has always been iconic, but there has been a recent resurgence that brought back the house classics with a current twist and I, for one, could not be happier. I recently reviewed my Lady Stirrup bag, and now I’ve got nothing but love for the Gucci Horsebit Shoulder Bags.
