We’ve reached the final PurseForum Roundup of 2012, and the PurseBlog and PurseForum teams want to wish you all the very best for 2013. We thought it would be fun to finish out the year with a look at some wonderful collection threads from across the PurseForum, so after the jump, you’ll find a selection of the most exciting acquisitions and additions that our Forum members have made this year!

Christina Aguilera and boyfriend out for shopping in Aspen

Here’s the artist lovingly known as “X-tina”, carrying a black, washed lambskin Givenchy Pandora Bag during a little shopping excursion with her boyfriend Matthew Rutler in Aspen, Colorado. You can own Christina Aguilera‘s exact bag if you’re willing and ready to pony up $2020 at Bergdorf Goodman.

Bag Deals Dec 28

At this point in the season, it’d be reasonable to be a little shopped out. You’re here reading this post, though, which means that you probably have a little bit left in your tank (or your wallet). As we posit every Friday, we think a discounted handbag would be the best way to fill out your post-holiday closet, and we’re prepared to back up that assertion with this week’s best bag deals.

Saint Laurent Paris Cabas Classique

Details on how Yves Saint Laurent would transition to become Saint Laurent Paris have only become more muddled as time has worn on. When Hedi Slimane was announced as the brand’s new creative director months ago, he announced the line’s new name.

Beyonce and Jay-Z go shopping at Bergdorf Goodman and Mary Arnold Toys in NYC

Let us all take a moment to ponder the crazy-amazing Christmas that A-list infant Blue Ivy Carter just experienced (and has already forgotten). Photographers snapped celeb super parents Beyonce and Jay-Z exiting Mary Arnold Toys on the Upper East Side a few days before X-mas, where they were presumably buying some last-minute gifts for their one-year-old daughter.

Bags under $1000

During college, I logged a few years working at the local Best Buy, so you could say that I’m intimately familiar with the ins and outs of the holiday shopping season. We all know about the first two phases – Black Friday, followed by regular gift shopping – but the third is less talked-about.

The Many Bags of Jessica Chastain

Just like last week, we’re using the busy holiday travel time to take a look at an actress whose rapidly rising star is second only to her rapidly expanding bag collection. Jessica Chastain may not be a household name quite yet, but with the amount of praise she’s received for her roles in films like The Help and the just-released Zero Dark Thirty, it won’t be long.

Well, we spent the bulk of yesterday providing detailed info on all the best sales and deals to be had after Christmas – imagine our delight when we found out that Neiman Marcus is offering an additional 40% off already reduced prices!

J.Crew Edie Purse in Alligator

If you’ve been paying attention over the past few years, then you already know that J.Crew has ambitions beyond its mid-priced mall-brand origins. CEO Mickey Drexler and Creative Director Jenna Lyons have helped exponentially elevate the brand’s fashion status, and while J.Crew remains a good source for accessibly priced sweaters and cute statement jewelry, the store would also like to sell you handbags that cost four figures.

After-Christmas-Sales

Today is my personal favorite holiday. Since my family spends Christmas going to the movies and testing out the various Chinese restaurants on the Upper West Side, I’m not super attached to Christmas. I am, however, attached to the day-after-Christmas sales.
