Excuse me for a moment, but I think I’m having a serious case of dÃ©jÃ vu. I’ve seen the Vieta Edita Faux Leather Hobo somewhere before. I feel like the information is lodged in the back of my brain somewhere and I can’t quite reach it…

Oh yeah. That’s right. I saw it when it was released by the people that actually designed it. Back then, it was called the Valentino Premier Bow Hobo and it was vastly more attractive. Also, it was made of real leather. And, well, it was approximately 21.5 times more expensive. But that’s not the point!

It wasn’t all that long ago that we told you about the Botkier Bowie Satchel. Shortly thereafter, my very own Bowie Satchel arrived in the mail, much to be unending glee and happiness. The bag is pretty great – it may be a functional, neutral satchel, but the sleek, architectural ribbing across the front gives it a look unlike anything else on the market. In a contemporary bag market that’s largely derivative, the Bowie bags are something very rare: original.

Which is why I couldn’t help but also write about the Botkier Bowie Crossbody Camera Bag. We all know that small crossbodies are all the rage right now, but the sleek details and retro feel of this particular option keep it a step ahead of the rest of the pack. And isn’t that exactly where you want to be?

Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve done it! I’ve found a Versace bag that doesn’t make my eyes roll or my stomach turn or my brain hurt just from looking at it. It’s simple! And functional! And kind of attractive! I could wear this bag and not be embarrassed about what it says about my taste level and also, my level of common sense.

But none of those things are what’s best about the Versace Giselle Lock Hobo. No, in fact, the best thing is the price. Shocking, right? Versace will normally charge at least two grand for any old thing, so color me shocked that the price tag for this attractive, reasonably functional bag falls so far below that number. Could it be that their accessories designers are finally realizing just how lucrative the handbag market can be if they give us products that are beautiful and fairly priced?

I’ve been carrying my same purple Kooba bag for the past few weeks now. While usually I try and switch it up from time to time, I’ve been fixated on this color purple and haven’t been able to let it go. So, when this happens, I catch myself gravitating more and more towards other purple bags just like this Elliot Lucca Angeline Tote. The bag doesn’t scream “notice me” nor does it go without notice.

The Katherine Kwei Donna Clutch is as recognizable and stand-out as they come. The knotting technique Kwei uses for her designs is not seen with any other designer, which is clearly her individuality factor. And because of this, it is hard to miss one of her designs.

Recently, Fergie was seen pairing her colorful fuchsia Katherine Kwei Donna Clutch with her black on black outfit. There are so many reasons why this work, including the fact that her somber outfit desperately needs a pop of color. The Donna Clutch has been seen in a variety of materials, including watersnake, but I think I have found my favorite rendition. I am clearly drawn to hot pink (like my Botkier Venice Hobo). Not everyone wants such a bright splash of color on a larger bag, so it is perfect to opt for a clutch. Buy via Saks for $645.

Jimmy Choo Tube Elaphe Snake Clutch

There are some bags out there which words cannot seem to do it enough justice. This clutch falls into that category. Coming across this Jimmy Choo Tube Elaphe Snake Clutch has me trying to reach through my computer and grab it. The color, the shape, the execution is all just complete and utter perfection. To be honest, the only thing I am having a problem with is figuring out which outfit I would pair this with first.

ROMYGOLD Biker Slash Tote

A bag with good texture can be hard to find. If it’s done well, it can easily make a bag one of the most unique and eye-catching options out there. If it’s not done well, things can start looking cheap really, really quickly.

As far as the ROMYGOLD Biker Slash Tote goes, I think it errs on the side of cool and interesting. The graphic white immediately sets a modernist tone, and the shape and size of the slashes takes that idea to the next level. I feel like it might be missing something, though, but I’m not quite sure what that might be.

Burberry Quilted Leather Tote

Soft, slouchy, quilted lambskin in a creamy shade of ivory? Where do I sign up for the Burberry Quilted Leather Tote? Do I need to get on a list or contact the proper authorities? Is there a special code I have to say?

I’ve got to admit that, between Marc Jacobs and Chanel, it might be kind of easy to think that we’ve seen all the quilting that we need to see. Usually, though, those quilts are a bit more on the rigid side, whereas the ones on this bag look soft and lovely (and this bag is lambskin, so I bet it doesn’t disappoint in real life.)

I go on your site daily and love it!!. I love to read your reviews and have bought some of the bags you have recommended. I have a quick question. I am torn between two Louis Vuitton bags. I am interested in the Neverfull MM and the Speedy 35. I am going with the Damier version. I am looking long term and would be interested in your opinion.

I am more traditional than not and I am a stay at home mom. I did purchase a YSL muse bag over Christmas. I got the cranberry color. It really is beautiful. Also, I am 40 years old. I want it to be age appropriate.
