Have you noticed the lack of posts on PurseBlog in the past week or two? I am almost embarrassed to say it is because Vlad and I have become so enthralled following World Cup Soccer that our work productivity has been compromised. As much as I love sports, soccer has never been my favorite sport. But there is something about a World Event that sucks me in. I even jumped off the couch this morning during the USA win over Algeria. It is that bad.

I saw this the other day and I could not pass up sharing with you all. As I said, my mind is on soccer right now, but I was waiting to see which designer would create a soccer themed item. While not a handbag, Santiago Gonzalez of Nancy Gonzalez created a Crocodile Skin Soccer Ball designed for Harrods. The item is no longer is stock on the website (sold out?!).

With all the focus being on designer iPad cases, the iPod is feeling a wee bit lonely me thinks. Major brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci are giving the iPad love and now Dolce & Gabbana wants to give loving to the ever popular iPod.

Any other day this review would belong on PurseBlog Savvy, but today it is going right here. Why you ask? Because I love French Bulldogs. I love bulldogs in general (Vlad and I will own an English Bulldog sometime in the near future, they are our love). The little quirky Miss Marc looks all kinds of awkward on the nylon Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Packables Pouch surrounded by her French Bulldog friends.

I would use this pouch for makeup and toss it in my handbag. Then I would pull this pouch out, and explain to everyone around me my love of bulldogs. It would get to the point of being so annoying that only Amanda and Vlad would listen (they both love bulldogs too). So maybe, I should just buy this, and then while I blog all day I can stare at it myself and smile. Thereby keeping all of you out of my bulldog-loving-long-winded-speech-path. We have a category for accessories that rarely gets used on PurseBlog. Apologies for neglecting a perfectly fitting category for our website. Today, that will change as I will bring you an accessory to discuss and make sure to continue bringing you designer accessories in the future.

The entire PurseBlog team has Mac Book Pro laptops that we do not allow to leave our sides. They are banged up, used, and used some more but I cannot say that they are mistreated. They simply are well-loved. I have the typical laptop case from Incase (Vlad and I both do). It is simple and rather boring, but gets the job done. I want something with more character and pizazz which is why the Fendi Neoprene Laptop Case caught my eye.

It has now been above 60 degrees for two days in a row in Georgia, and the sunshine is giving me the travel itch something fierce. My fair skin has never ingratiated me to tropical vacations, but the advent of warm weather is making me wish that I were laying in a beach chair right now.

Valentine’s Day has always been one of those days I’ve loved. While I’ve not always had a significant other on Valentine’s Day, it is nice to sit back and remember how much love I have in my life. I have a great family, amazing friends and am constantly surrounded by love. So whether you have a Valentine this year or not, try and remember how loved you are and how many people you love!

With all of this being said, I still have a list of things I’d be more than happy to receive on Valentine’s Day. Nothing too extravagant but nonetheless lovely.

Even though the eighth night of Chanukah was last Friday, that doesn’t mean it’s too late to make my wish list. Besides, I spent the holiday at college and celebrated with my friends every night- while that was lovely and fun, my first Chanukah away from home lacked an essential ingredient: the presents. Let’s face it: I’m notoriously difficult to shop for, and even my parents stick to my wish list or a gift certificate due to my extreme pickiness. Let’s not call it pickiness, let’s call it “selectivity.” Yes, I like that.

We all have iPhones and Blackberries, iPods and iPod touches. The cases that are offered at the phone stores are practical but they are not luxurious. This site is about fashion and luxury, so the marriage of tech accessories with the high end market is a bit hard.

Well isn’t this…useful.

Let’s think for a moment about who exactly might be the target consumer for the Roberto Cavalli Gold-Plated USB Stick Pendant. A fashion editor? No, I don’t think she’d want to wear the same necklace to work every day. A graphic designer? No, USB stick drives are probably exchanged and tossed around so much in that profession that having one that’s also an expensive designer necklace is probably counterproductive.

What about a lady spy? Yes, that’s it! A lady spy. Like Angelina Jolie’s character in Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The ultra-luxe necklace would secretly contain important documents that the lady spy has to transfer to another secret agent, and when the bad guys toss her hotel room an an attempt to intercept the documents, they’d never think that a necklace could also be an electronic device.

It’s so James-Bond-y, but in a feminine way that’s probably also completely impractical. But when has Cavalli ever embraced practicality? I’m merely surprised that he didn’t also find a way to make it change all of your files to leopard-print backgrounds. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $565.
